This research project, financed by FAPERGS and CNPq, aimed to identify the paths of innovation  of Rio Grande do Sul manufacturing firms.

Through the characterization of the innovation reality in RS, it wasbe possible to understand how the innovation process occurs in and how they impact in terms of social, economic, technical and scientific development in the State.

To determine the paths of Innovation in the Brazilian industry, under the capabilities theory approach (development, operations, management and transaction capabilities), we surveyed over 1300 manufacturing companies.
